RMAEE July 2022 Meeting
11:00am: Human Centric Sustainability - Scott Jenkins (Planled | EVP Partnerships)
This session will provide examples of how innovative lighting technology and design can make vast improvements in the human experience in office buildings, schools, and sports venues while saving energy, improving health, productivity and IAQ. We'll explore the benefits of using a task ambient lighting approach that incorporates human centric lighting design as well as the advantages of using upper room UVC fixtures to achieve much higher air changes per hour in order to meet CDC guidance to reduce exposure to airborne pathogens.

11:30am: Duct Sealing - Thomas Grace (Aeroseal)
This presentation will provide insights into energy waste in the building in HVAC systems. According to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), leaky ductwork is one of the biggest contributors to energy waste in U.S. buildings today. There is a simple solution to this common problem. You can reduce a building’s energy consumption by sealing the ductwork from the inside out. Up to 60% of a building’s HVAC energy goes to its fans, and a small reduction in fan speed can result in large savings.
